Artwork on an immense scale, the largest sculpture of a person in world (according to their blurb). It isn't until you get to it and walk the many paths around it that you realise how large it is. Kids love being able to walk around a lady's face and body! The views from the forehead are amazing right up towards the Scottish borders, with Newcastle Airport visible you can also watch planes on final approach. Fabulous coffee shop with home cooked fayre, also dog friendly. Free parking too

A beautiful sculpture, managed but at one with nature. Any signs of mining are long gone. The ascent isn't challenging. The 360 view reaches to the coast and the train line and roads are in the distance.

Northumberlandia - Lady of the North
Zajímavé místo s mnoha vyvýšeninami, ke kterým vedou cesty po souřadnicích vždy až na vrchol. Místo bylo takto využito zřejmě po ukončení těžby uhlí. Cesta vede podél pomyslného těla Lady of the North. Dostanete se tak k jeji hlavě, ruce, kolenům, kotníku a dalším částem jejího těla. Velmi dobŕe vymyšleno a realizováno. Úžasná procházka s mnoha zastaveními a výhledy.

Great place to fall in muddy puddles face first when your little and the wellies not best to run in... 😀
Nothing a cake & hot chocolate could not fix and then back up the lady for round 2 walk.

Perfect free day out if you're looking for something to do North of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. It's particularly good if need to tire the kids out as there are four miles of pathways for them to run round with some stepper bits.
There are water ponds so keep an eye on them. On a clear day the views from the top of the head are stunning. There is a lovely cafe too although we didn't go in today as we were heading somewhere else for lunch.

It’s a nice little walk, with various viewpoints, a wooded area and a cafe.
It’s quite windy when we went, not sure if this is the norm or just due to the current weather.
The site is well kept and a great visit, however there’s no real need for multiple visits, once you have been nothing much changes next time.
